Our PhD students complete a research project during their second year in the program, and each year the department presents an award for the best Second Year Paper. In 2020-2021, the best Second Year Paper award goes to Emma Gjerdseth for her paper "The Elephant in the Room: Destroying Stockpiles to Reduce Poaching Rates.”
