The College of Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University named Dr. Jeff Reimer as the interim department head for Applied Economics, effective September 1, 2022.
Jeff is replacing Dr. Jen Alix-Garcia who recently announced her decision to step down as department head in order to focus on other priorities, including her leadership of the College’s Sustainability Double Degree program.
Professor Reimer has been in the Department of Applied Economics at Oregon State University since 2005. His research program concerns topics in international trade, agricultural economics, price analysis, labor economics, water resources, and general equilibrium modeling. His teaching at OSU has focused on agricultural price analysis, international trade, the economics of globalization, and micro-economic theory.
