PhD Student Awarded Grant to Study Crime in Costa Rica

Our PhD student Alejandro Abarca has just gotten a grant to study the effects of police interventions on crime in Costa Rica.
The grant is supported by the Knowledge Network on Citizen Security (CONOSE), which is a consortium of academic institutions, think tanks, and NGOs from Central American and Dominican Republic. The Network was created to support understanding of and policies to reduce violence, crime, and insecurity in the region.

Alejandro is working with two colleagues: Suráyabi Ramírez-Varas and María José Sauma.
